Interthane 990 is a two-component, high-solids, aliphatic acrylic polyurethane coating. It is a premium coating that provides excellent durability and color retention for both atmospheric and immersion service.

Surface Preparation: The surface to be coated must be clean, dry, and free from all surface contamination, such as dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose or flaking paint. All surfaces must be prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Application: Interthane 990 can be applied by airless spray, conventional spray, brush, or roller. The recommended dry film thickness is 50-75 microns per coat. The recommended number of coats is 2-3. The minimum recoating interval is 6 hours.
Drying Times: The drying time of Interthane 990 will depend on the temperature, humidity, and film thickness. At 23°C (73°F) and 50% relative humidity, the drying time for Interthane 990 is:
Touch dry: 2 hours
Hard dry: 6 hours
Full cure: 7 days
Safety: Interthane 990 is a two-component coating that contains isocyanates, which can cause respiratory sensitization and skin sensitization. Use with adequate ventilation and personal protective equipment.
Limitations: Do not apply Interthane 990 to surfaces below 5°C (41°F) or above 40°C (104°F). Do not apply when the relative humidity is above 85%. Do not thin the material unless recommended by the manufacturer.
Storage: Interthane 990 should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, away from sources of heat and ignition. The shelf life of the material is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers.
